Most "online income" content buries you in options. In our experience, almost everything worth doing after 50 falls into one of three lanes:
- Service-based: Selling the skill you already get paid for at your job — consulting, freelancing, or part-time contract work — directly to businesses who need it a few hours a week.
- Content + recommendations: Sharing what you're learning or already know (this site is our example of that) and earning through affiliate links to tools and books you genuinely use.
- Digital products: Packaging something you know into a template, guide, or workbook that solves one specific problem for one specific person.

You don't need a business plan before you begin. You need one lane, a protected block of time, and 90 days before you judge whether it's working.
